It's really busy around here trying to decide what goes in a garage sale and what is coming with us to Houston.
So, just a quick note to tell everyone to go check out the new projects put up by the design team over at Happy Scrappin' Scrapbooking. I do have to say that these are some great ones!

Update....before my internet goes kaput
I'm going to make this quick because my internet keeps having a PPP Connection Error:668, whatever the heck that is. And I can't stay on the internet long enough to figure it out.
If we can make it until midnight tonight without any mess from our buyer, we will have sold our house! So, as of right now our plans are this - out of our house on March 4th, close on our house on March 5, live in Henderson with my parents (booo) for 6 days, close on the Houston house March 11, then move all of our furniture in on March 12.
Wow, that's soon!

Oh Cruel World.....
Old Story:
We accepted an offer on our house that was lower than we had intended to go, but I really just wanted to sell the darn thing and be done with it. We had the inspection yesterday and everything went fine. No major issues to argue over.
New Story:
I was standing outside talking to the neighbor today when a truck pulled up. The driver rolled down the window and asked if we had sold the house yet. I said we were still in negotiations. He said his wife loves the house and they would gladly pay full asking price if the deal with the buyer falls through.
Good News:
We have a back up plan in case our current buyer changes his mind.
Bad News:
The current buyer is probably not going to change his mind since the inspection went so well.
I'm going to be thinking about the money we could have had from the new interested couple for a long long time.

Sew Much Fun!
First off, yes, I know I need to change my background. But I've been a little busy.....
Sewing!
I've attempted to sew before, but quit before I ever got the machine threaded. But this time I actually made a skirt for Anna. And yes, the elastic is squished in some places and my seams are so not straight, but I'm pretty proud of myself. It only took me about 2 hours to make a "no pattern simply easy skirt" but still. It's a good start.

Figuring out a name
So I've been reading the book The Happiness Project, and it's pretty good. If nothing else, it's gotten me thinking again about what I want to do with my life career wise. I don't know that teaching is it for me. I liked it, but I wouldn't do it for free. And isn't that supposed to be the test about choosing the right career? If you did it for free, would you still do it? Now that we are moving and the price of preschool has tripled from what we are paying now, I practically would be teaching for free. After preschool, gas to get there, taxes, and a new wardrobe (I don't think they let you teach in jeans every day!), I'd be back to where I am now. And I'm just not sure I'm willing to teach for such little bring home money.
So I'm back to thinking about what I want to do. My dream has always been to own my very own scrapbook store, but there's too many of those. I'd like to start a kit club online, but there's so many of those too. How would I stand out? I like taking pictures, I like scrapbooking those pictures, I like collecting all the scrapbooking stuff :), and I've decided that I'm going to like sewing - I just have to figure out how to do it first! So, let's put those all together and what do I get.........
nope, still not sure......
So for now I'm going to concentrate on a name. My business needs a name, whatever it may be. I don't want a name that is product specific like the Paper Place or I Take Pictures. I want a name that is catchy and original and makes people think, "hmmmm what could that be?". Maybe something with alliteration, but not too children's-book-sounding. Maybe someone's name, but not my own. Like Agnes Ann (long story why, but it's always stuck in my head). Or something off the wall like Pink Grapes.
I know that when I come up with the perfect name, I'll come up with the perfect business, then it'll take off and everyone will love it and it will be known the world over. Got a little carried away there!

Happy VDay
Did I overdo it with the Valentine's theme or what? I jut couldn't take my old blog design anymore. And sadly, I didn't win the free blog design that I entered for. :(
Oh well. Just wanted to stop by and add a little festivity to my blog. Off to Dairy Queen to let Anna play so much that she will hopefully fall asleep in the car!

Year of the Frog?
I finally got started on my 2010 album last night! I do tend to scrapbook Anna's pages chronologically, but I also have an album that's just pages of old pictures and old memories that are in no kind of order whatsoever.
I started my title page - first time I'm doing that! - but couldn't find the perfect title or letters, so I'm going to have to do some shopping. So I started with the pictures.
For some reason Anna wanted to dress like a frog on New Year's Eve, so I just had to get a picture.
The patterned paper, word strip, and date circle is from the Simple Stories line from MemoryWorks.
The journaling block is from Sharing Memories Scrapbooking. I just antiqued it a bit to blend it in.
Letters and rub ons are from American Crafts.

Whoo Hoo!
I am officially finished with my 2009 scrapbook. So please, don't remind me of the pages I have forgotten to do. Here's the last page I did.
Cuteness, huh?
In other news, go check out Second Sister's blog. It's a fun read and man, she has great jewelry for sale. I'm dying for the bird necklace from today's post. Gotta have it! Oh, and she's giving away a free blog design from Ebsi websites. Don't you think I need a new blog design? I need something cute, quirky, and fresh just like me. Ok, so maybe fresh isn't the exact word I'm looking for to describe myself. But I'm married, so I guess I can be fresh with my hubs.
In other, other news, it's time to clean out my computer. I am vowing to get organized - tonight. Wonder how that's going to go?

Good News!
I am thrilled to say I've been invited to join the design team over at Sharing Memories Scrapbooking. It's a great little store that offers lots of little embellishments and project paks. There are also great sketches - which I LOVE! I can't wait to get started with their products. Go check out the design team announcement and look through all their cute stuff in the store.
Maybe now that Anna isn't throwing up all over the place, I can get back to scrapping. - I just hope I don't get it!

I've got a secret....
but I can't tell you yet! Stinks, doesn't it?
But in other news -
We found a house we LOVE in Houston. Now we just need to sell ours. Someone send a buyer our way.
Anna puked last night. And she was in my bed. Nastiness!!!
We've already watched 57 episodes of Oobi today.
I'm still doing ok on my diet challenge. Although I just remembered that I haven't done my new exercise plan today. The plan is to do 50 jumping jacks every hour. I have a lot of catching up to do today!
And I just realized that I need to order pictures today.
