Beautiful Hybrid Page
Elle's Studio has a wonderful digital collection called Summer Documented 2010. My intention when I bought is collection was to use it to make a mini album of favorite summer pictures. I still intend to get to that, it just hasn't happened yet.
But when I printed one of the pictures I took of Anna using my hipstamatic app on my phone, I knew the colors of the collection were perfect. So I printed out some of the tags, inked the edges, and used them as a mat. I threw in some Sass flowers, Thickers, and a little bit of stitching to complete the look.

Super Anna!
Super Anna saves the world.
Everyday.
Time after time.
And it makes her tired.
Thank goodness we have her.

Stuffed Silly
My kid loves Mexican food. In particular, she loves cheese quesidillas dipped in sour cream. And refried beans with cheese and sour cream. Notice a recurring theme of cheese and sour cream? I'm pretty sure you could cover anything in cheese and sour cream and she'd be good.
My kid also stuffs herself silly. Always has. And since her daddy does the exact same thing when we go to Mexican restaurants, I doubt she'll ever change.
I had to have this picture because after eating everything in front of her she just laid back and started rubbing her belly. And for a minute there, she looked just like Robert.
Add some October Afternoon paper and mini stickers, some painted Maya Road chipboard, and some cute Sassafrass blooms and it makes for cheerfully Mexican restaurant-ish layout.

Fashionista
Anna has always bee particular about her clothes. From the time she could say "no" she frequently did. And it was most often about what she was not going to wear.
Some mornings I hear "It's too polka dotty."
Some mornings I hear "It's too stripey."
And some mornings I hear "I just don't like it."
So I very rarely shop for her clothes without her with me, because if she doesn't like it, she's not going to wear it.
Ever.
And on days that we are staying home, she gets to dress herself. And this is what she comes up with.
These fab pictures were taken with my Hipstamatic phone app. I photoshoped the two pictures onto a 5x7 canvas and had them printed out in that size. That kept them square. And hip.

Shhh...I scraplifted....
While strolling through the blog world the other day, I came upon Crate Paper's blog. And fell in love. And they had a sketch challenge that I decided to go for. Now, I must admit that I pretty much copied Kinsey Wilson's layout to the tee, but still....it took some effort to get out all those supplies, so I'm going to be proud of it.
Go check out the blog (and the layout I totally scraplifted) here. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery, right?

I'm pretty sure that everything on the layout, besides letters and the two circle journaling spots are from Crate Paper. I'm really in love with them lately. And that Restoration line they've got going on.....ahhhh.....
(Please ignore the fact that I forgot to erase my pencil marks before I took a picture.)
(And ignore the fact that I'm too lazy to go take another picture.)

Sketch and a Sneak!
Let's start off with a few sneaks from the December kit at ScrapFreak! When I opened this up, I got straight into the holiday mode!
Loving it, aren't you?
And now for the sketch from The Everyday Scrapper! For some reason the sketch isn't saved on my computer, and it's not up on the site yet, so I'm just giving you my layout.
I sure hope it's the right sketch!!!
I actually got lots of scrapping done this weekend, so stay tuned for some new layouts and one of the best (random) buys ever!

December Daily Pictures
The lighting hasn't been the best around here, with all the rain, so forgive my junky pictures!
I've pretty much stuck to Ali Edwards' style and I'm grateful that it was so easy to follow.
The format is pretty simple - transparency, day template to be printed on the kraft side of the paper, then repeat.
I have some embellishments in the already, but I plan to add more to the back side of the daily kraft sheet after I have printed on it.

| Luckily, the album came with the zipper bag, so I'll definitely be using it! |

Whew.....
This weekend was filled with princesses and surprise parties and presents and playing. And I'm tired.
So I missed out on posting my Sunday sketch from The Everyday Scrapper yesterday. (The cupcake icing for breakfast must have gotten to my head!)
Here's the sketch.
And here's my layout.
I've scheduled a few pictures of my December Daily album to post tomorrow, so be sure to come back for those.
And don't forget to send me your address if you won the giveaway!

And the winner is.....
I had Robert pick a number and he picked #4!
So the winner is.....Jeanne!!!
Send me an email at AMRoycroft@aol(dot)com and I'll get your prize pack out ASAP.
I had planned on sharing pictures of my December Daily album this week, but I've been neck deep in tissue paper flowers and doilies for Anna's surprise party, so the album will have to wait until next week.

Giveaway Day!
I've been trying to clean out a few things around here, and I have discovered that I have way too much chipboard. I always forget that I have it and it just stacks up.
So, I'm giving some away! And if I was OCD about it, I'd tell you that there are approx 59 pieces of chipboard in this pile. But I'm definitely not OCD, so I won't even bother telling you. :) It does have some really cute Maya Road banners, windows, and frames included in there.
I also had a few things left over from my December Daily, so I thought I'd throw those in too. There are Jennie Bowlin, Making Memories, Collage Press, and Jillibean Soup sprouts included in that stack.
Just become a follower and your name will go in the drawing. Good Luck!
I'll have Anna pick a winner on Friday!
And check back tomorrow for a few pictures from my December Daily album I finally finished up.

For the crop last month at ScrapFreak, I hosted a challenge to create a layout about something you fear or have feared in the past.
I did a layout about how driving up in the air on overpasses is just not my thing. If God wanted me to drive that high, he would have made cars with wings. Just sayin'.
Another reminder to sign up to be a blog follower. That's the only way you can win the giveaway that I'll be posting on Wednesday!

Daily Conversations
It takes 15 minutes to drive home from Anna's gymnastics class. And that 15 minutes wears me out.
We started of this ride with her simple question:
Is Autumn older or younger than me?
She's younger.
So, is she growing up?
Yep, she's growing up, just like you.
Oh no.
What?
I don't want her to get bigger than me.
She won't. You'll always be older.
But she might grow faster than me.
Nope, you both get older at the same rate. You'll always be older.
What's rate mean?
The same speed.
So we grow fast or slow?
No, I meant that you'll both get older at the same rate, so if you started out older, you'll always be older.
(Anyone else starting to have flashbacks of word problems in Algebra?)
Huh?
She'll stop growing tomorrow, so you'll always be older.
Okay.
Can we eat lunch at Autumn's house tomorrow?
No.
Can we go eat at those people's house? pointing out the window at some random house
No.
Why?
We don't know those people.
We can say "Hello, nice to meet you."
We could.
Okay, turn around.
No.
Why?
Because we have to go home and feed Midge.
I fed Midge before we left.
But she called and said she ate it all.
Midge can't call. She doesn't have thumbs.
Oh, yeah, I forgot.
Then who called?
I guess nobody.
Was that a trick?
Yep.
You shouldn't play tricks.
Ok, sorry.
I wonder where Coach Frank was today.
I have no idea.
You should have asked, mom.
He's your coach, you should've asked.
Maybe you should call them.
I don't have their phone number.
You should have asked them.
Yep.
You should call them and ask then where Coach Frank was and what their phone number is.
How can I call them without their phone number?
Oh.
Oh.
Well, you should have asked.
