Frugal Finds

Practical Scrappers has a great feature where they pick a common object you probably have lying around your house and challenge you to use it in a scrappy way. This challenge was to use up those mesh bags you have somewhere in your kitchen. We eat those tiny seedless oranges like maniacs at my house, so I knew that is what I would use. And lo and behold, I had a picture of Anna eating one of those oranges!

I cut out part of the bag around the label and used both under my photos. I then laid a scrap piece on the corner and misted. I'm still struggling with misting, but oh well. It works.
Make sure to check out how the rest of the designers used mesh bags in their projects. There is always such great inspiration!

What Week is This?

I have absolutely no clue what week this is. I'm sure I could figure it out, but I'm too lazy at the moment. Lighting last night was really bad, so for now I only have a few close ups of my project life for last week. 

 I always forget to use my Instax camera, so when I do I make sure to include the pictures. Anna wanted this one, but I snuck it away from her.

 Don't you love the facebook card? It came in a set of four and I downloaded it from Wild Blueberry Ink.

At Ten Months:

He has eight teeth.

He puts those teeth to good use.

He says Mama, Dada, Anna, and Bye bye.

He just learned to wave.

He walks everywhere.

He tries to run, but really only takes faster, shorter steps.

He needs a haircut. Bad.

He loves babies. 

He loves poking babies's eyes.

He sleeps from 8:00ish to 5:45.

He takes two naps a day.

He loves people .

He's a charmer.

Puppy Love

Midge wasn't around long after Blue was born. But in the 6 months or so that she was, they formed an incredible bond. Now, Midge wasn't known for her friendly disposition, so to see her loving on B was great. Where ever he was, she was. When he cried, she paced. And if he was low enough, she gave him kisses.

I made this layout for a challenge at Practical Scrappers. I was supposed to use washi tape, but I still had a stash of the old school decorative tape that I wanted to use up, so that's what I chose. I used three different tapes instead of patterned paper, and then wrapped a chipboard star in tape as well. Make sure to check out what the other designers did with the challenge!

Project Life

I actually did a spread on time this week. It's a Project Life miracle!!

Now, if only I could have a blogging miracle that makes me post more frequently.....

Project Life

I am slowly but surely catching up with Project Life. I couldn't remember to take pictures last week, so it was another one page spread. But I'm good with that. I just made the week before a one-weeker and went with it. Not much journaling, but it's done and that's my only goal.

I do think I will go back and add journaling to the two full sized pictures. Otherwise they make no sense.
The top one is of Blue smiling at a stuffed bee that was Anna's when she was little. The bottom is of Blue playing in toys at our garage sale. Why is it that they never want the toys until you are about to sell them?

Wearing:  My pipe cleaner bead bracelet Anna made me that I am never allowed to take off. Ever.
Loving: the new kitchen. If only I could get my countertops, sink, and cooktop in...
Wanting: some quiet time
Needing: to actually stay caught up with Project Life. I started out so great.....
Preparing: for a garage sale this weekend
Thinking: I should get up and do something productive
Wishing: Grandparents lived closer

Finally getting around to editing Easter pictures.
